We are the Peregrine Falcon. We built a model of the peregrine falcon because it is one of the fastest creatures in the world and we are crazy about them. We are four boys and all third graders. We work together well and we love being goofy together. We all have experience building with LEGO. Boy power rules!
Team Research:
The Honey Bee Honey bees bring nectar from flowers and put it in pods in the hive. They stir it up to make it thick, and that turns it into honey. Honeybees also collect pollen to make food for the larvae and they pollinate flowers while doing that.

Model Picture:
What Does Our Model Show? It shows our peregrine falcon on top of a tall cliff. It also shows a forest down below, where the honeybees live. There are a lot of plants, trees, and animals in the forest. The beehive is located in the leaves of a tree. What Moves and Why? The talons on our peregrine falcon turn the full way around. How Did We Make It? We used the WeDo 2.0 Kit to build a sweep. The simple machines in the model are the gears and pulleys driven by a motor. We added pieces to change the sweep to look like a peregrine falcon with talons.
