We are the Tweeters! We are a team of four third graders. We are studying the mountain bluebird. We worked really hard on our model. We had a lot of fun making our model together, and all of us thought that we did a really good job and think we have good team spirit.
Team Research:
The Honey Bee The worker bees are females and do all the work. Drones are boys who mate with the queen. Only the queen lays eggs. When the queen bee passes away, the worker bees kick the drones out of the hive. The worker bees give a random larvae royal jelly to make a new queen.

Model Picture:
What does our model show? Our model shows a forest with a big blue bird in front of it. The model has a waterfall and a cave. There is also a cottage with a garden. Inside the house is a table with someone sitting on a chair. The beehive is under a tree with the bee sitting on the hive. What Moves and Why? The mouth of the blue bird moves so that it can catch a worm. How Did We Make It? We used a WeDo 2.0 Kit and built a model that grabs. There are gears inside and a rubber band on a pulley. When you press the button to start it, the gears turn and the rubber band goes like a bicycle, which makes the mouth move. We then changed it into the beak of the bluebird. Next we added a body.
